The app had outgrown Rails-rendered partials. It needed a modern storefront experience, a proper API boundary, and hosting that would not keep scaling in cost.

CostumePlay needed production-grade multi-tenant infrastructure for media processing, plus a Shopify product that could handle real merchant traffic and webhook volume.

What we delivered

  • Rails backend for multi-tenant auth, subscription billing, and media job orchestration
  • TryOnPod Shopify app and extension: OAuth, GraphQL Admin API, billing, catalog sync, and storefront UX
  • Idempotent webhook processing for Shopify events under retries, rate limits, and partial failures
  • Caching and Cloudflare CDN/R2 delivery to control media cost and latency
